Most "what does it cost" pages online are either a national average that's wrong for your state by a factor of three, or a fake calculator that wants your email before showing an answer.

KilowattMath does neither. Every number is computed from current, public federal data, EIA electricity and gas prices, EPA vehicle efficiency, NREL solar modeling, localized to your state, shown instantly.

I'm Charlie Groves, a software engineer who works with energy and carbon data professionally. I built this site because the 2026 policy changes (the federal energy tax credits ending, state rebate programs churning monthly) made most of the internet's energy-cost advice quietly wrong, and I kept redoing the math myself.

The site is supported by advertising. Calculators are estimates for decision-making, not quotes; always confirm program details and get local prices before spending money.
